Building Bridges in concerto

Depending on the weather, the concert will happen in the courtyard of CIS or within the exhibition space.

Each year Building Bridges, a project by Fondazione Centro di Incontri Umani, brings together musicians from different countries for a ten-day creation residency in Ticino. This year, for the first time, the residency is organised in partnership with Centro Internazionale di Scultura, where musicians will live and work under one roof for an intensive artistic exchange.

Outstanding artists from different cultural and professional backgrounds meet not only musically: they share stories, traditions and experiences, listening, improvising and creating together. The music that results is rooted as much in their personal and professional contexts as in the space where it is created - this time in Peccia.

Between jazz, folk, world music and free improvisation, unpredictable soundscapes emerge. Anyone who has experienced a Building Bridges concert knows it as a lively dialogue, where music becomes a common language.
